While the children are on school holiday (this is the equivalent of our long summer break), work goes on apace on the Adonai site to prepare things for their return. Here we see beds under construction.
Buy a Bed Appeal
In February 2024 we launched an appeal to buy more beds as even with all of those pictured above, some children were sleeping on the floor as so many turned up for the new school year. Aloysious told us that the effects of Covid-19 and Ebola were still being felt in many families – the less well off were hit very hard.
As anticipated, you responded superbly and 20 more bunk beds were funded – that’s 40 more children with a safe space to sleep.
