Where Love Becomes Action

Sowing and Reaping

In our last post, Back to School, we reported that the staff were gearing up for the final term of the school year and shared photos from the previous term.

We are pleased to report that term started well. The Luswata family have been hands-on as always, dividing themselves between 3 teams: Abi as headteacher headed up the school team, Aloysious joined the farming team, son Emmanuel headed up the Mission team. In each team, seeds of the appropriate sort have been sown and a harvest is being reaped… photos follow. As usual, click/tap on them for a larger view.

Mid-term exams – preparation for those all important ones at the end of the year.

Adonai owns and farms 2 areas of farmland. That pictured here is the land at Mubende which Adonai UK purchased for them several years ago and has provided food for the children and Adonai community since then.
In lockdown, with travel restricted, they leased a plot of land closer to home so that food production could continue. Earlier this year, we were pleased to enable them to purchase this land ensuring that there is no risk of losing it. Huge thanks to the donor who made this possible – you know who you are ⭐
We have sent various pots of money this year for seeds etc and are about to send more for organic compost. We hope you agree that this is a good use of our funds – making sure all are fed and that Adonai can be self-sustaining in this way.

CHRISTMAS APPEAL 2024 🎄

At the time of writing, we are about to launch our Christmas Appeal. As usual we aim to provide funds for a gift for each sponsored child, some party food, and a bull which will provide those in need in the local community with fresh beef at Christmas. Please feel free to donate using the button at the top of the page.
